Climate-Controlled Workshop For Year-Round Quality
Specialist Media For Delicate And Heavy-Duty Tasks
Non-Toxic Dry Ice Blasting For Sensitive Projects
ADVANCED BLASTING, PAINTING AND COATING
Blast & Paint provides precision surface preparation for automotive, industrial, and restoration projects. Whether restoring a classic car chassis, rejuvenating heritage timber, or preparing industrial steel, we select the appropriate blasting media to create the correct surface profile without damaging the substrate. Our fully enclosed 50-foot climate-controlled blast shop ensures consistent results and prevents flash rust regardless of weather conditions. With over 25 years of experience, we work with a wide range of media, including glass beads, iron silicate and bicarbonate of soda, to suit different materials and finishes. Our facility handles projects ranging from small precision components to classic car chassis, with a capacity for items up to 2.2 m high, 4 m wide, and 3 tonnes in weight.

WHY PRECISION MATTERS IN BLASTING AND COATING
Every material requires a different blasting approach. Heavy-duty media, such as steel grit, chilled iron, and aluminium oxide, remove thick coatings and corrosion from ferrous metals while creating the correct surface profile for paint or powder coating. For finishing applications, such as alloy wheels, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals, we use precision media, including glass beads and sinter balls, to produce a smooth satin surface without aggressive profiling. More delicate materials such as timber beams, masonry, and engine components are treated using gentle media like bicarbonate of soda, walnut shell, or corn cob, removing coatings while protecting the original substrate. Where contamination must be avoided, dry ice blasting provides a non-abrasive and residue-free cleaning method. Solid COâ‚‚ pellets lift grease and debris without leaving secondary waste, making the process suitable for sensitive environments.
